As you can see at the end of the thread, Gene asked me to contact him and I did with the following email:
Hi Gene,
This is Dope from CF. I appreciate your response. The invoice # was 39001.
I wasn't looking for a refund or anything of the sort. Just looking to rant and rave over my frustrations, basically. I'm sure you guys do good business, everyone is allowed to make mistakes, right?
As you probably read in the thread, we had a short bout of unseasonably warm weather (60* at the end of December here in Massachusetts!) which allowed me to get the install done and the car stored. She's as good as new now.
Thanks, and have a happy new year!
Adam
This was Gene's response this morning:
Hello Adam,
It appears it did take me until Tuesday to process it. I don't know what time you called Friday, which may have had something to do with it. About a week and a half ago we were backed up for 2-3 days at a time and only at certain points. Since then I have put a 24 hour rule into place that no order can go without being taken care of for no more than 24hours.
It appears that you were chained. What I mean by that is, it took me two days to get the order in. It then took another 2 days for GM to ship it, which is also unusual. Then, it is to be delivered to you within 24 hours from UPS because that is in our next day delivery area. It took UPS 2 days to get it to you. If either of us 3 had done our job 1 day better you would have had your part. If you look at the UPS information, it took them almost 24 hours to move it from one part of MA to another. I had read there were several problems with UPS and their deliveries but hadn't experienced it until I saw a few of these problems come up.
At any rate. I apologize and this morning I gave you a refund of 129.51. I will send you a copy of it in the mail. All that I ask is that you give us another opportunity to serve you. Thanks for your business. Here is a copy of the tracking information.
Edit: Ugh, looks like the board doesn't allow HTML formatting. There was UPS tracking information attached which basically showed them sitting on their *** with the package being a few towns over from me.
Needless to say, I am more than satisfied. As I mentioned, I was not looking for a refund or anything of the sort but I still got it. Thanks Gene.

I'm glad this worked out for you. Gene seems like a truly concerned and up-front guy. I admire anyone that will stand up and take responsibility for a mistake. Although I've never purchased anything from Fred Beans, I would certainly consider them for my next purchase.

Glad to hear things worked out for the best. IMO Gene went above and beyond to satisfy you for the lost time. I've only used Gene once, but I was pleased with the transaction and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

Great to hear Gene took care of it. It's good to know his reputation as a fair / diligent vendor is not just all talk. I've spoken to him before (just about parts/ordering) before ... and he was courteous to me. Thanks Gene. Way ta go.
BTW, I think your thread got locked because Gene responded and it appeared the situation was going to be resolved. (I think it's not necessary to leave it open till there's an update.) Just my .02
I'm glad this worked out as I was about to look into something there but held off based upon your post. I understand Gene's frustration as I was expecting something before Christmas and had it sent 2nd day Air so I was sure to receive it. UPS received it at 8AM last Tuesday and I got the package this Monday. Everyday last week I signed on and watch it sit in Knoxville for 4 days. Frustrating.
