Zinc Plated Rotors

Just put cross drilled, slotted, painted rotors on my 99 from ebay and there are not rusting but the shine is off of them. I have seen alot of pictures on here where they look brand new I was curious thanks for the info

This was as my car was rolled out the day I had mine installed. They don't like like this anymore.

Zinc works as a sacrificial metal. In other words it corrodes, and by that protects the iron.
How long it last depends on how bad the environment the rotor lives in gets.
Being from Jersey, that's not long if you drive during the winter.
And you by the shore.
Not long. If you haven't already purchased the rotors look for cadium (cad) plated rotors. Will last much longer.
