50 Additional HP - What's it take?
put down 326/340 to the wheels thats 389/405 at the crank -w- 16% drivetrain loss. gain on my car 345/350 to 389/405, still have stock muffs going to replace them with B&B Bullets and get LS6 intake. Then redyno. After that ill stop play with the kid mods and get H/C - Clutch and tune.

approx. $2500-$3000
or just get a wicked cam
If its an automatic, then unless you change the stock gears, be they 2.73s or 3.15, IMO there is no point in adding 50hp with either of those gear choices. With an automatic, I'd do gears first to at least 3.42s and possibly/ probably 3.73s.
Adding 50hp to a 2.73 geared car gives you what? And IMO 3.15s don't offer much above 2.73s and I have driven Vettes with both. Neither is a "performance" axle ratio.
Its my opinion that if its an automatic, unless it has at least 3.42 gears in it whats the point? But thats just me, and of course this will kill your warranty.
........You get used to 350 HP after a while. But this modifications to increase power stuff simply cannot be undertaken if you are at all concerned about your warranty. You will put parts of it, probably important parts of it, at risk.
