Oh brother, it happened again...
My tilt steering wheel locked in the up position...again. This happened once before when the car was only a few months old. We will soon have its one year birthday party. I didn't think this would ever happen to me again since it has been so long, but it happened again!!! 
I have tried all the suggestion from the last time this happened. It is stuck, it won't budge at all! Makes me sick that this has happened twice in one year on such an expensive, flagship car!
My only consolation is that it is still driveable. At least I still have that!

I've had mine stick in the retracted position but your tilt adjustment is stuck? Isn't that a purely mechanical thing? I wonder if others here have had this problem. First time I have heard of it.
When mine stuck in the retracted position I found that if I pushed the retractor button at least 8 times in the retract direction. Then held it in the telescopic position till it finally came out. It took 2 to 5 seconds for it to release and extend.

I have a 04 when it was about 8 months old same thing happened to me .Took it to dealer who had a Vet tech he got it free and lubed it and tried to get it to hang up a couple dozen times and said it would not happen again probably.6 months later it hangs again Iwas pissed this time I was determined I was going to free the damn thing myself.This time while Iwas pulling on the wheel I also happened to turn it and it broke loose.I wonder if this is a fairly common prob.

Use a big hammer and if that doesn't work get a bigger hammer
