Love the non BSM look! A month ago I didn't know what a BSM was, no less how to remove them! Thanks for all the help CFers
:o Sorry, camera sux, was top of the line in '98! :o

Looks great without the BSM!
Having them or not having them is really a personal decision, and maybe one of the oldest questions since the C5 first came out in 1997. Some like them, others hate them, and still others are ambivilent. Do what makes you happy!

Wait a minute - what's that reflection in the second shot?

I don't have them on mine, although I like the look and the ability to save the doors in parking lots. I have a set that are painted and ready to install but just haven't taken the time to put them on. I got them from a forum member who took them off his car and sent them to me.
A lot easier than I would have thought. I wouldn't have had the guts either, if I didn't read all the success stories here. EnglandGreen has a good tutorial, of course I did mine spur of the moment. No fishing line to be found so I used a bondo spreader! I like the way the Vette looks with or without the BSM, just wanted the smoother look. Again, I just wanted to say thanks to the CF for all the valuable info here, my Vette experience has been greatly enhanced by this forum
I like the looks of my BSM, when I was looking for an 04, I wanted to make sure the Vette of my chioce had them on... I dont like door slams marks. The BSM looks good and protects, just my 2cents.
Mine's a '98 with 85k, can not see where they were at all. In pic it looks like a shadow where they were on my door, but that's just a reflection off the concrete floor. I guess I decided to remove them when a BMW opened their door onto my passenger side and hit up by the door handle, missing the BSM completely
Looks great! For those still on the fence, perhaps we should start a 12 step program to no BSM! Having a BMW hit you up by the handle supports my view that the BSM is of marginal value as a protector, and after that, its a personal taste issue. I like my silver coupe sans BSM!
