Predator vs. Hypertech
I am sure this has come up before but I'd like your opinions.
I borrowed this from the thread on A4 vs. M6:
If you do decide to get an A4, make sure you get the 3.15 gears(as stated before). I would also recommend a predator tuner for any auto A4 owner, it really brings the tranny to life. That is if you like to get a good long chirp and a sideways motion when shifting into 2nd at WOT.
After I read the above (I hope it is true) I have to get a programer. I have the A4 and the 3.15 gears and am definately looking for the exhilaration of a good long chirp and the sideways motion, I get goose bumps just reading that.

The Hypertech fails in one aspect of C5 A4's... it's incapable of handling rear gear upgrades on the C5. It works fine for F-Bodies, but not the C5.
Specifically; it fails when you upgrade to any rear axle ratio that was nto available from the factory for the A4. The Hypertech can handle a 2.73 to 3.15 upgrade, but can't go beyond that (3.42, 3.73, 3.90, 4.10).
If you never intend changing to a non-factory rear axle ratio, then I've heard ther Hypertech is fine otherwise.
