Transmission problems
Anyone have any troubles with their 6 speed getting stuck in gear? The other day I could not shift out of 4th without putting my entire weight into the shifter. It's going into the shop this week, but I was interested in knowing from ya'll what the problem is?

You are not alone. I noticed this 4th gear problem almost immediately. Now you might have a clutch problem, but I have noticed that the M12 trans that I have have in the 04 differs from the M type that was in the 02 coupe.
I have had to pull and double clutch to get it to go into gear more than a few times. I am assuming that the transmission top end has a weak spring setup or that the gears are just not meshing perfectly due to clearance, heat, or tolerance in the syncs.
Now I have got over 4000 miles on it and the problem only shows when I am revving high or trying to shift faster than normal.
I think the only way to actually figure this one out is take a look, but I dont see myself having this transmission on the table. GM is gonna foot the bill if I blow it up..... For now I just deal with it.
