Seriously, I can't remember ever telling anyone to do a search unless I also answered the question as best as I could. It's true that when the search feature actually worked, members could have made better use of it but repetition can be a good thing, for me at least.
I take the position that if I'm tired of answering the same question I simply move on. But I rarely tire of that.
It would be in bad taste to complain about a single function of an otherwise fabulous free service... but the search does suck! After 5 years of living with it, I just assume the reason is fixing the search doesn't sell any additional ads or sponserships! Which is cool - I'm not complaining, cause that would be in bad taste!

The search function is hard to use, yes - but generally I find what I'm looking for if I'm persistant enough. "If at first you don't succeed, try try again" Oh yeah - IB4TL!
I agree on the inaccuracy of the search function. On similar forums, I consistently do a search to see if my question has already been answered, rather than burden the other forum members with another thread down the same path. For example, why create another CAGS thread and take up server space, when it has been answered multiple times.
This forum should be used for reference and discussion, and without search function, the reference part is useless.
If it takes bucks to fix it, count me in. I will save the $$ many times over.

Maybe you just need to learn how to search. I just did a quick search for WHITEJ34 who was looking for info on the differences in C5 models. It took about 30 seconds to comer up with this... I know it's not perfect, but with a little work you can usually find something. Hey, wadda ya want for free!!!
i just did a search and came up with nothing......i am looking for sound bites of different exhausts. I know there are many on here somewhere. Anybody care to help or show me what I am doing wrong???? Thx in advance
