Welcome to the forum, Dustin. I've tracked and Auto-X'd both my C5's, and despite the awesome performance of the C5 at play, I've never been more impressed with how it performed than in the t-bone wreck I had last summer.
I figure almost any other car would've been on it's roof. I got away with only a badly broken foot and huge rental car bills while I still await the repairs to be completed.
Our cars perform in all situations at a level above most anything else out there, and it's nice to know we're well protected from the DDs and just plain idiots out there, just in case.
Welcome to the forum...My vette saved my butt the week before xmas...A lady pulled out directly in front of me and I slammed on brakes REAL HARD, and swerved left. AH and TC lit up, as well as ABS, but I missed hitting her by maybe a foot. My coworker that was following behind me, said had I not stopped like I did, she would have rear ended me making even more of a mess...So yeah, these cars do accelerate pretty quickly, but the deceleration and handling is often forgotten when talking about their performance.
just wanting to thank all of you who took the time to read my story and even say hey back or welcome here, ive been on the net looking at different things about corvettes since my C5, and i have to agree, this is the best place on here! and about the wave, ive always known about it and always have done it, even when my dad would take me to school in our 72 454 coupe, did it then, do it still! im proud of my the Corvette line in all aspects, and ill go with yall on the school first then forums... but like someone said...its VERY addicting, even being my 3rd post! anyways, as soon as someone teaches me how to load pictures on to my post, i will have some for yall to help me choose some parts for my car to add, and as soon as someone tells me what in the world TTT means? sorry for the inexperience with tricks of the trade in the forum world! respond quickly, because im bored because of the rain here in Texas, preventing me from cruising in my C5...email me some time fellas to talk! if around, maybe we can meet up and have lunch or go cruise! take care all!
