But that's for windows ... Your title says windows and you're asking about the wind screen. Is this right?

Yes. I need 70% transmissivity to meet UK specs. US FMVSS 205 is an acceptable standard. the windscreen shows an E6 symbol, MS34 and DOT 376.
Bottom line is if I meet FMVSS 205 (which I assume a GM stock windscreen will), I'm OK.
