Default Rear lowering bolt question

Does anyone know the exact bolt size and diameter needed for longer than stock rear lowering bolts. It seems a waste to spend $48.00 for just 2 grade #8 bolts, since I already have the bushings, or is there anything special about these bolts?

I believe it's M14 x 2.0 x 160 mm long; (M14 is the diameter and 2.0 is the thread pitch) either 8.8 or 10.9 for the strength rating, I used 10.9. You should find these online from a bolt distributor cheap.

Or just go to your local hardware store and get two 7" 9/16 Grade 8 bolts.

Those are only 5 inches long. You drill holes in the front spring, force it up and bolt it to the oil pan.

Then your car will either be lower or you won't care.
