Default tire sensor question

Can the sensors be put in non runflat tires and work the same?

So you have to train them so the computer knows what tire they are inside of.

If you put the sensors and wheels back in the same location (e.g LF,LR,RF,RR) you won't have to retrain them.
But retraining the sensor is easy anyway.

I wasn't asking a question, I was making a statement.

This only works if you are assuming he is going to get used sensors and they are marked as to what location they came from. I had the assumption he may put in new sensors and thus would need to train them.

I think he was answering the original question, not replying to your statement.

If he is getting any different sensors, new or used, they will have to be trained to his car. Used sensors from another car won't work until trained, and it doesn't matter where they were mounted on the previous car.
The only way to not retrain is to re-use the sensors currently trained to the car and remount them in the same location.
