I know this is an ongoing thing but I thought that A4's didn't have a problem???? What is the real story???? I have an 03.. with 50000 miles and no problem.... do I need to worry????

As long as when your key is removed and the steering wheel can still be turned it's been taken care of. You should be good. One of my friends has a 2003 and his doesn't lock when the key is removed.
