Default Trailers for our Vettes

How many people tow there vettes? I am looking into getting one for my car and I found a GREAT company that sells them at really good prices. Would anyone be intrested in 18 foot long dove tails or another type? Let me know, any ideas or suggestions let me know.

IMO if you are going to tow the car do it with a enclosed trailer. At least here in the N.E.

I see a lot of Harley owners who have trailer queens too. Oh i know yours must be a race car, right. I bought my Harley and my Vette to drive.

Here in South florida I am not worried about it. I like to trailer it without dropping 5k for a trailer.

Yup 24 foot enclosed. 8,000 capasity. Can put other stuff, wheels, tools air compressor in there too.

I was first looking at an open trailer, then some one said get an enclosed. that way no one sees your car, it is secure, and when you get home if your dog tired, you can leave it the trailer safe and sound.

What is your tow vehicals capcity??

if you really want an open trailer there are some good ones for 2-2500. SOme even less.

Get brakes on BOTH axles, removable fenders. a stone shield or some sort of nose gard that comes up 3 or 4 feet to protect your car.

If you can go the extra cost, get an enclosed trailer. Keeps the car protected from the elements and nice and clean when you get to your destination.

18' would be the minimum size trailer for a car... you will always need a little room front and back for a few things anyway. I trailer my car places and I love it. If you get an enclosed, you will need a better tow vehicle and that costs you again... so best to really look at your budget and trucks/trailers at the same time.

$25-40 a day, depending on how many they have! I almost bought one, but then I thought no place to store it.

Hi wallstAL, I will be moving from SW Florida to North Carolina and have been looking in car carriers “trailers” to get my vette up there. U-haul is the only one that will rent just a trailer. I see your vette is on one, were you able to get it up there without extending the ramps, and not hit the rocker panels.

You need to rent the aluminum style trailer and put a 2" block of wood near the front so the front rubber spoiler will pass over the stop lip. The rocker are close but they do not hit. I am lowered with 16" drag tires in the front and rear.
