Z wheel mods??
Has anyone ever modified the standard Z06 wheel for better cosmetics? I was over at a Metal refinishing place today that actually does the clearcoating/painting for HRE wheels. The guy there said he could do anything I wanted, such as polishing the lip, and then painting the center any color I want. Would run anywhere from 115 to 150 bucks a wheel. Seems like an economical way to get a custom look and not lose the stock lightweight wheels.

A local wheel repair place can do painting/machining the lip for $105 a wheel. 5% discount if it's done for all 4. I'm planning to do just that if I can find four OEM Z06 rear wheels in time

There are plenty of wheels to be had in eBay. Good luck.
