I am always looking for someone that is interested in vette stuff. I can chat about anything else, but can't say to much about what I am doing onboard the submarine do to classification issues.
I will miss the FORUM and everyone that makes it what it is...
I great way to learn, meet great folks and get some great laughs!
Good luck while underway Micah! You are welcome to email me at paul dot pearson 1 at comcast dot net (just remove the obvious anti-spam countermeasures but the number one stays as pearson1) if you want to get caught up on what's happening in the Corvette forum world I'd be happy to chat or perhaps forward on to you anything you might need to keep you occupied. Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your continued service Too bad you are transferring in August I would have bought you a drink at the barefoot bar at the HaleKoa in November. Stay safe and Godspeed.

Best of luck on your deployment. I know how they can be - I did several of them while on active duty with the Navy. I'll try to e-mail you every now and then and keep you posted on what's happening here. Thanks for all you do for our country.
Thanks for your service! I can understand deployments and the sad feeling you get when you leave your loved ones.(and I didn't even have a Vette back then) I spent 26 years in the Navy and retired a little over 10 years ago. Is the Los Angeles a Trident? I was not a submariner but had several friends who were as I spent over 20 years in the Navy Recruiting Command.
Hi Micah, thanks for all you do for us!! i'll also drop you a line from time to time. I'm retired so i've got plenty of time to write..talk to you soon. John
So is it worse being miles away from your car and not being able to use it or like me a few feet away, but with the cold weather, sleet, rain, and snow not being able to use it?
I guess I can still do MODS. Will send some pics of my work in progress (new exhaust and stuff going on in the winter).

You're stationed aboard the U.S.S. Los Angeles? Wowsers! I was part of the commissioning crew aboard U.S.S. Memphis (SSN 691), and helped the crew of the Los Angeles during their initial power range testing at Newport News.
Good luck and Godspeed, sailor! Keep the number of dives < or = to the number of surfacings.
Good Luck and God Bless. If you need anything that can be done by someone in the Ozark Mountains drop me a line. Again and it has been said before, Thank You for Serving

I've put you in my address book. I was a 'Bubblehead' myself back in the 80's. I worked 'A' division on the USS James Monroe - SSBN 622, which was decommisioned in the 90's and is now an artificial reef off the coast of Washington. I'll keep in touch!

Hey Micah - I'll drop you some notes, too. I think you can email pages from the forum, and I'll do that from time to time. It won't be quite the same, but it will at least give ya' a little taste!
The Los Angeles, didn't they name a whole class of subs after her? I remember lots of references in all the Tom Clancy books (read them all!) to "Los Angeles" class subs!
