Default C5 thinking

Hey guys I bought a 96' last fall its in mint condition, Torch Red, 12k miles looks like new. Picked it up for $16.500. Its totally perfect.

Ive been thinking about a C5 because of the easy to get into sill, more foot room and more horsepower. Should I keep this 96' 2 more years and put more miles on it and then get a C5 when the prices have drooped some more, or sell my 96' now for 20k and look for a C5 this year??? Any thought???

Go for the C5 if that is what you want. No telling what the market will do in a couple of years.

Waiting for prices to go down?? How low do you need them to go to justify the switch? I just bought my '97 in Sep for $18K with 58,000 on the clock. I looked for about 4 months until I found this one from a fellow forum member. It is in excellent condition! I say sell the C4 for what you can get and make the switch!!

No problems so far It is not my daily driver so I have only put about 1000 miles on it. I don't really consider the milage as high. It will have been on the road 8 years in April. That is only about 7500 miles a year. The biggest problem I have with it is the painted wagon wheels. I can't wait to get rid of them!!

Default Why not?

The fact that you are asking the question tells us that you want the C5. Get it and be happy!!

Darth........... "May The Force Be With You"

The C4 you have (with 14k orig miles) is a great car. And considering you purchased it with (12k) for $16.5 not very long ago you seem to have buyers remorse as you have asked this question or variations thereof numerous times.

If you are not happy with the C4 (based on the number of times you've asked) go ahead and sell it, and get what you like. You are the one that will drive it, so it is important that you are happy.

Good luck in your quest for a C5

Maybe I'm missing something, but you paid $16.5K and think you can get $20K, a few months later? You may get more than $16.5, but probably not much more..
