Hello all just found out today that I could check my own codes. Went in and tried it and I had probably around 10 minor codes. Been in for service not so long ago and they said everything is okay. I had the Service engine soon light come on for about a minute today along with the Active Handing warming up or something along those lines but than it went right off. Should I clears the codes or take it in and see what they have to say?.
By the way it has 3,500 miles on it and I'm the first owner. Had 2 miles on it when I got it and haven't had a problem yet.
Thanks again
And by the way I'm pretty new to the forum look to learn a lot.
Thanks all for you fast responses. I'm going to sound dumb here but how do I reset them all. I just now found out how to check them after I had this little problem.
Thanks again
P.S. The battery being low might really be a possible cause. I haven't started the car in 2 months before today. Since I travel for work the car has been under the cover sitting.
Thank you. I will do it first thing in the moring.
Also today I forgot to add that when I turned the car on it said low tire pressure in both left tire. The front was down 1 psi and the back 3 psi. So no big deal I go down to get air when I get there I hit the gauges and it says they are all the same psi and everything is fine.
When I get home tonight to put the car away It does it again "Low tire Pressure"
What pressures are in the tires?? 28-30 should be good. If you have adequate pressures the Tire pressure sensor batterys could be going bad. Then again it could be a bad GROUND!
I agree with Tallon90 Even at 30 psi, if you live in an area where the temp swings up and down a lot, you will need to keep an eye on the pressures. 30 psi is a good all around pressure! That should eliminate your problems!

And, 30psi cold is the manufacturer's recommendation - it's on the tag on the driver's door!

That's normal. I read somewhere that if, after starting the car, you immediately do a lot of turning and hardly any straight driving (such as a small parking lot), then the system doesn't get a chance to calibrate, and gives you that warning until it successfully calibrates. Adverse effects? Some of the "baby sitter" is disabled - but I doubt you'll suffer a performance loss in that parking lot - unless you're learning to autocross!
Are you getting codes such as U1016, U1064 and U1096, etc.? If so, disregard these codes as long as they are shown as history codes.
GM issued a bulletin years ago on these codes for the C5. For some reason the C5 stores these codes in history and they mean nothing. I know mine stores these all the time, and if I delete them with a Tech 2, then restart the vehicle, they come back.
Mine did have all those codes. I reset all of them. The only thing that worried me about the Warming up Active Handling Code is that it was followed by a Service Engine soon light (only for a bit though)
Either way I reset all the codes and will have the dealer check everything out when I take it in for the next oil change.
Thanks all for the advice. It really helped a lot.
