Default Frustrating

I am looking for a low mileage c-5 with HUD and 6 speed, Black (would consider other colors). Prefer 2004 or 2003. Problem is I need to go through dealer because I will be trading in a Lincoln LS. I CAN"T FIND ONE. Budget is in the mid to high 30's. I heard it may be hard to find what I am looking for so I started now (will be buying in late March/early April) is Mid to High 30's in the ball park or should I look for older cars?

Take a look at the CF C5 For Sale section. Tons of terrific rides - many very well priced.

Why don't you just sell your LS privately, and not deal with the stealership?

Thanks guys. I have looked in the for sale section. Most are individuals, not dealers. I could go that rout if I were to find someone that wanted my LS but, don't think that is likely. I may loose money trading in at a dealer but, it would eliminate LOTS of hassle. 99C5VERT: I'm LAZY

If you don't mind a vert, I saw a post from Monica from Maxie Price selling a Black/Black/Grey for 41,000 and a crazy 50 something miles. Not too keen on the interior but heck of a deal IMO. Good luck.

You'll get more for it if you sell it privately. Might be as much as twice what the dealer will give you. Look in the local papers to see what they are going for considering what shape yours is compared to whats out there. Also spend some money to get it detailed if your not into doing it. That usually adds a lot to the price and makes the car easier to sell. Just a thought.

What state are you in? I've got a few connections that may be able to process the 'dealer' paperwork.

It might take a bit longer to sell, but the extra $$ will make it worthwhile...

They have private and dealerships listed.

The budget you mention should be enough to find what you are looking for. You may have to expand your area to find the right car, but they are out there. They will usually start popping up around March or so, when the weather begins to get better. But, checking out the for sale section here on the forum is a good idea. Good luck in finding the car you want. Be patient - it is out there.
