It seems to me that I recently read in C5 tech a post by ET saying that Baer rotors are now Eradispeed. And along with that I have seen that there is a GP going on now for rotors of all types from Baer/Eradispeed and others at Corvette Garage with the prices on Baers being so low you have to e-mail Nate there for the pricing.

There's a Group Purchase going on right now with the Corvette Garage hopfully you can still get in on it. You may save big bucks if you can give Nate a call. He is a forum vendor here.

Thanks for the tips. I never thought about T Byrne and you're right, that was the best price.

FYI to all, the below comparison prices are for 2-piece fronts, 1 piece rears with Hawk pads.

LAPD - 989.85
Corvette Garage - 954.75
T Bryne - 859.98

Eradispeed rotors have ALWAYS been made by Baer.

The reson you are seeing some GP's going on is expalined in ET's post.

They have redesigned the plus size rear rotors so many parts sellers are selling the old one now as quick as they can.

Jack, why aren't you going with the 2 piece rears...

Ill explain the Eradispeed re-name for the Baers..

Eradispeeds came out about three years ago, as a two piece front rotor for a C5.
These rotors where a step up from the baer enhanced rotors..
When the two piece front came out ( I was the first person to receive a set..)
My car was featured on Baers website..
Baer's rotors come from Australia, they have a patent on their spiral vane area with a thick fire path..
They now have this design called Kangaroo Paw.. its an Aussie thing..
Three years ago EradiSpeed meant a two piece aluminum hat rotor, and at that time they did not have a Two piece rotor with an integral drum for the ebrake shoes
They used the rear enhanced Bear rotor which incorporates their patented vane design.
So three years ago they had Baer enhanced rotors, and the new two piece front eradispeed, matched with the enhanced rear.
About a year and a half ago Bear designed a Two piece 14 in rear with an offsetting bracket so you could use your stock rear calipers.
the problem with this was the design had a flaw, in that the pads did not contact the whole rotor fire path, thus leaving an undesirable two toned effect..
about a year ago they redesign the rear two piece and about 5 months ago started marketing the new design with a narrow fire path to match the pad width, they did this by increasing the aluminum hat diameter and decreasing the fire path, this gave the rotor a much more pleasing effect. It also reduced the weight further by adding a larger aluminum hat.
about six months ago they decided to call "All" of the spiral, Kangaroo vane design, an EradiSpeed rotor, which now included the one piece formerly called Baer enhanced rotors because they too have a narrow spiral vane with a thick fire path structure.
Many rotors have a radial vane, and the vane width is so large it makes the fire path cross section narrow. The bear design allows for even heat up and even dissipation..

Mainly because of the problem you described...the oversize fire path. I wasn't aware that they'd corrected the problem yet. Patches told me they were going to or had it in the works, but I wasn't aware that the larger hats were available on the 2-piece rears yet.

Oh hell, more money!

Yeah the New 2 piece rears have been available for five months,. they got rid of the old design with the wide fire path.
I told Patches I already ordered mine to match my fronts... there was no way I was going to put those original 2 piece on the back.. There has been an ongoing thread I started on the Baer rotors for about a week...Ive been doing all the leg work on the new design and getting it out to forum members..

Check out the "new" 2 pc. rears if you go with the 2 pc. fronts. This is the set up I'm going with, can't wait for them to arrive. Baer's are worth the extra money (and they are a lot extra) imho.

The +2 14 inch rears work fine with stock wheels.. as do the fronts.
Because of the 3 inch rear lip on the CCW's its close.. But a 1/8 spacer corrects the problem on CCW's.
For anyone Ordering CCW's with the 14 in rear rotors... John can make the wheels to fit without the added spacer... He just adjusts the fitment . You just have to let him know.

Jack;
You really need to go to E-T's original thread. It explains everything. Also you need to check pricing with nate@corvettegarage.com he undoubtedly has a very good price.
I ordered 2pc/2pc(New Style 14") Last week
