painted vs. polished
I have an '04 with factory painted aluminum 5 spoke wheels. My friend just bought an '04 with the polished aluminum wheels. She wants to get after market wheels and is going to sell me her "old" polished wheels. The wheels are in perfect condition. What is the going price for used but perfect polished aluminum wheels????

Well, there's a guy selling a set without sensors supposedly in perfect condition on C5 Parts for $700 if that's any indicator....

Good choice for getting the polished. For me they are better than chromed ones. One thing is they won't peel in a few years and are easily repaired if damaged. As far as price I have no clue. You could try Westcoast Corvettes web site to see what they go for. Post some pics once you have them on.

About 2 1/2 years ago I sold my high polished wheels off my 2000 for $800 -they were in excellent shape. I would say the $700-800 range is pretty accurate.

A number of the OEM 5 spoke polished wheels have been listed in the C5 Parts for Sale/Wanted section of the Forum recently. Watch there and you should get a pretty good idea of what they are going for. Good luck.
