I just bought a R-D Racing Cross-Bar. I have the opportunity to buy some racing belts cheap through work. Before I make my final decision, I would like to see what the rest of you use. I have a black interior and I am thinking I want to go with red belts. But I just would like to see some other options before pulling the trigger!
I have red Crow belts that I think look nice in my black interior. Sorry, I don't have any pictures of what they look like.
Its unclear to me if the belts you are thinking of getting are used or new. If they are used, you should check the manufacturing date on them. Some sanctioning bodies have rules about how old belts can be before they must be replaced. You also want to make sure they've never been "used" in a crash.
G-force 6 point with Ultra-Shield seat, Hard-bar seat mounting rails
We use the ultra-shield padded cam lock harnesses in my wifes car and they are great. I will be changing my Simpsons for a set before the race season this year.
Mark, I don't know how good your deal is on Simpson belts, but I got Gforce belts like the ones in the above posts based on Dave's (RD)advice. He put my bar and belts in when we were in Sanford last year. He could have sold me the Simpsons which cost more, but swore up and down the Gforces would be more comfortable and cheaper and just as strong. Not having any red in or out of your car, you might want to think about the black. You can check mine out at QSL if the weather is right.
I pulled the trigger on black G-Force 5 point harnesses from RD-Racing. I have a Torch Red 2004 Coupe with the Light Oak interior (tan seats & carpet otherwise mostly black inside). They should arrive this week.
I don't have any pics, because I haven't received them yet....but I ordered the same setup from R-D racing and I went with the black belts for my black interior. I think it would look good with either color.
