I have a blackwing love it, but I really dont think there is much of a difference between the 2, think I would go the with stinger because you get the bridge and coupler with that, dont get that with the blackwing...
If you are not going to be driving in heavy rain conditions, you can't beat the Vararam for maximum punch! The difference is amazing! The car now leaps forward and fishtails when I get on it.
Both are great intakes and are close in price, but the Halltech has a larger flow path due to its included custom airbridge and smooth throttlebody coupler (components that do not come with the Blackwing). This may not mean that it has a huge advantage now, but after engine work and an aftermarket catback, that greater flow potential will be very welcome.
Here are some rear wheel HP numbers of C5s that were all tested within a short period of time from each other:

The day I got my Vararam installed I drove my car home 168 miles in some of the worst rain Southern Cal has seen in a long time Speeds up to 75 down to 15 flooding on the freeways and all no problems
I've been on the search function for the last couple of days reading about the Blackwing and the Stinger. Both are supposed to be very good intakes, but you get more for your money with the Stinger. I can't speak from experience on the power difference, but from what I've read the Stinger might have a small advantage. Ordered the Stinger from Corvette Garage today

Me too! We must have installed them the same day....
I've been looking into the same question. I've just read from other posts that the Halltech occasionally causes problems with air/fuel mixture--anyone have the word on this?

If you have an 02-04 Z06, then you may need tuning to go along with your intake upgrade. All other C5s have MAF screens and will not have any lean code issues. Some Z06 owners have installed the screens with success.
BTW, if you do live in a state that has visual smog inspections, you are better off with an easily removable intake, such as the Halltech. Since the only smog-legal aftermarket intakes are the K&N FIPK, the Calloway, and possibly the Granatelli, any other (usually much lower-priced) intake may need to be swapped out, come smog inspection time. Keep that in mind before spending many hours installing a Vararam or other pain-to-install intake.
