Does anyone know what are the largest run-flat tires available for the C5? I would like to get 19/20 combination, but I have never seen them anywhere.
Please don't flame me about run-flats. My car cannot be towed, so it is a necessity that I stay with run-flats.
Run flats are fine, but any car can be towed, if it is drivable it is towable.
The C6 run flats are bigger than the C5 run flats. They are 18" fronts, and 19 " rears. The Goodyear 2nd Gen runflats are lightyears ahead of the original design.
Tried to find this with search, but to no avail. If you switched to C6 wheels on a C5, is there some programing that needs to be done to get correct MPH, and are there any other effects? Also, it seems the offset on the C6 rear 19" wheels are +79mm versus 65mm. Will this .55 inches effect anything, and I am guessing this puts the outer face of the rear tire inboard slightly?
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I could be wrong about this, but since I have an ACI front chin spoiler and side ground effects, I only have three inch clearance in the front, not enough room to get under. If towed from the rear, it would tear off the front spoiler.

The diameters of the C6 tires is almost the same as the C5 tires, so no affects on the rolling diameter or any computer systems that rely on it.
Yes, the rear offsets are little different, but most don't worry about it. I think I saw one person (vettterdstr?) who uses spacers though.

Any thoughts or rebuttals are welcome.
"Towed at owners expense" would include the tearing off of your front spoiler if you are parked illegally. Tow truck guys never give a damn...if they want to tow your car (aka put $100 in their pocket), they'll get it one way or another. Legally, unless you were in fact parked legally, they can do just about whatever they want, at least around here they can, and do.
I have seen ONE case where someone was parked legally and was towed. Their car was broken into while the tow company had it, busting out all the windows and stealing the stereo, ect. The towing company DID pay to replace it all and had it done in 24 hours, but that's a rare case where the towing company was threatened by several apt complexes near a major University (aka they would have been f'ed in the long run if they hadn't fixed that car).

In what ways are the 2nd Gen ahead of the origial run craps?? I like the having run flats, but i hate the tire!!

You are misunderstanding my concern. I'm not worried about being towed as a result of illegal parking.
I am worried about not being able to be towed after I have a flat tire, without damaging my car.
