Would anyone know the parameters that set off the "limp home mode" on a S/C Vette? Is it that the PCM cannot process the extra power and speed at certain times? Like accelerating hard and turning at the same time? Or is it something else?
Thanks.

I experienced "Reduced Power Mode" one time. It was because my throttle position sensor took a dump and believe me it was scary! Lots of bells, whistles and crap across the DIC. This was compounded by the fact that I had just bought the car about 3 weeks prior, and it was my first Vette. I was really wondering what I had gotten myself into!
Fortunately, the dealer I bought the car from fixed it free of charge (a 98 with 35K miles) and no problems since.

Bill, its an 03 C-5 with a Procharger, and some of my friends ( I work for a Chevrolet Dealer) at the dealership have helped tune it, it has not been tuned on a dyno, since we do not have one.
Post the same question in Scan & Tune. There is a way to tune out the error/ make it less sensitive. I recommend giving the wiring and connections for the TPS a good once over just to make sure that everything is intact and working properly.
The reason that I wanted to know what year you have is; 97 & 98 C5 had issues with the TAC module and would cause this same problem. GM has an up-dated TAC module to fix it.
