Drivers Seat Went Crazy Today
First time to drive it in about a week. Tried to get in and the seat was to far forward. Tried to move it back, but it would not move. It would move forward though. Then it moved all the way forward on its on. Followed by me trying the tilt function which would work going down, but then not up. The only way I got it to work was to start the car and turn on the easy exit function. When I turned the car off, the seat went all the way back. So while I was moving it forward so I could reach the pedals it kept going forward again on its on. Had to do the easy out function again. The second time I readjusted for reach everything worked okay. What gives?

I had something very similar happen to me after I had let the car sit for a few days. Took it to the dealer and found out that the seat switch had shorted out and would randomly make contact causing the seat to move. In my case it kept draining the battery. I would get it looked at or perhaps set you seat the way you want it then unplug it. My passenger seat did the same thing and I chose to ignore it. Well the short ended up frying the seat switch and a relay before I finally unplugged it.

Do you have the memory option?
I have the sport seats with memory. When I start the car up after the car been siting for a while and it goes to the #2 setting on the memory for no reason. The rest of the day it works fine.
Almost lost my kneecaps.

There's an easy solution for this particular problem. Wait until there's a full moon. Park in the middle of an empty parking lot. Using a new package of salt, pour a ring of salt around the car. Then light candles and say a chant. If that doesn't work, try a 6 pack. lol

Allthough i've not had any problems with mine, friends that we know had a seat malfunction on their way to Florida. ( not Corvette ) The Husband was driving and suddenly without warning the seat went fast forward all the way to the steering wheel. He could not reach the brakes because it was so close that his knees hit the wheel, his wife had to do it. They couldn't get the seat back so the wife started to drive and then after a while the seat went all the way back so the Wife couldn't reach the pedals. Both times this all happened at interstate speeds. i think about this every time i drive. these gadgets are nice but when they malfunction it gets dangerous.

This happened to me WHILE RACING!
I take off into turn one and the seat goes all the way forward. Then all the way up....followed by a # of other various adjustments. Oh crep what an eye opener. I finished my run and was very shocked to see my time... I had just set the FTD for the cincinatti region.

mine wouldnt act up while moving but after getting in and closing the door, it would raise all the way up and put my head on the roof. finally got sick and tired of it so i disconnected the harness under the seat until i can get it to the dealer.

Wow! That's good to know. I hope this never happens to me a highway speeds. That's way to dangerous. At the first sign of this I'll be checking out the switch.
