Default Bilstein shocks???

whos running them that has replaced their Z51 shocks?

looking to upgrade my shocks on my 01' with Z51. the car is lowered on stock bolts, and MX's will be going on this week. i would like a "stiffer" ride, and was wondering if the bilstein sports would be a good upgrade?

most of the posts i see are from "base" suspension cars that upgrade, and can really tell the difference. anyone with Z51 have experience changing over to the bilsteins?? difference in handling? worth the money?

thanks in advance for any advice. i will be attending my first road course in feb.!!

Check out this latest thread. The Bilstein sports work well on base, Z51, and Z06 suspension cars.

I Changed from Z51 to Bilstein Sports a couple of years ago. Also went to Z06 sway bars. The ride is firmer (which I don’t mind) but I can go around high speed sweepers much faster with less roll and float. However, my Hardtop is not lowered so that could make a differnce. – C.

I changed to the Bilstien Sport on my 01 Z51 coupe. Ride is about the same, without the slightly "floaty" feel (over large road dips) of the OEM Z51 shocks. I am at stock ride height.

Silver, CAJUNY2KC5 has Bilstien sports shock installed in his car with Hotchkis sway bar. He has Z51 suspension like yours. I rode his car and what a difference - flat in the corner. This will be my next mods.
