I am going to look at a 2001 Millenium Yellow Coupe today. It is FULLY loaded with 34k miles and it is a 6 speed. Only has the painted top, but supposedly is in top notch shape. It was listed for 31kobo. What do you think is a fair price to pay for this car? I don't want to insult the owner, but I don't want to overpay either.

Check with either Edmunds.com or kbb.com to see what they say about the asking price. I would think that it is just a bit high, but in your area it may be about right.

Seems to be a bit overpriced for an '01. You could probably do as well at a dealer's lot. Check the Kelly blue book for private party sales. The wholesale price will give you a good starting point to bargain with.
Don't be in a hurry...there are lots of good used C5's out there.
Seem a little high to me too. Shop around and take your time and dont worry about insulting the seller.. Lowball him you never know unless you ask!! Good luck!
I was going to offer 27k because that is what I can get 10 other ones for. I just like this particular one because it is yellow. Would be even better if it was a convertible!

I checked mine on the Blue book site just out of curiosity and it was like $25,000.So that seems kind of high. I paid $28,000 for mine over a year ago and it had 32,000 miles.
Well just to confuse the issue a bit the Kelley Blue Book value for that car in my zip code when buying from a Private Party is $32,575 I rated the condition as Excellent (as I would suspect most Corvette's are but YMMV.) Pricing varies widely by geographic location. I consistently see pricing higher here in the northeast than elsewhere in the country. So, I don't think the asking price of $31k obo is all that unreasonable. Start at $28k after a thorough walk around and see where it leads. Just my .02
Seems to be on the high end for me. I paid 27K for my 01 Coupe in 2003 with 17k on the odometer 1SB and performance axle. Felt like I got a good price. I know there are deals out there. Don't be afraid to lowball. I have always hated it when someone takes my first offer as I walk away wondering what he really would have taken for it. For a Vette don't be afraid to shop around all over.
I just got done looking at the car. It is showroom new all over, but he wants $29,500. That seems like way too much to me. I can get an 03' coupe for that.
has the owner done any mods. wheels, air induction, cosmetics, etc. 29 sounds decent. again check edmunds for your geographic area. where are you at geographically?
