It was Mid November when I put him in storage. I am seriously going thru withdrawals. It was so bad Sunday, I drove to the storage shed "just to visit him"
well, had to take the cover off and admire him....
then I just had to sit in the drivers seat for a bit......
Okay, so I had to hear him ROAR so I started him up....... I sat there in my storage unit, behind the drivers seat pretending like I was driving like a little kid!
To add to the insult, I got my 2005 MidAmerica's dream book today.....
As I write, we are under a severe winter storm warning.....
Man, it was one thing that I drove my Z28 for 2 winters in a row.....how can you be driving a C5 in this crap?!?!?
BTW, I live out near Oshawa (~1/2 hr east of T.O.) .
I don't drive it in deep snow though, for that I will borrow my mom's car. Lucky for me she is retired, so I just drive over to my parent's place before a big storm, and tuck the Corvette in their garage.
Most of the winter here is fine for driving. Sure it sucks to get the car dirty with salt, but I wash it a lot so that the salt can't do it's dirty work.
Withdrawl is not the word for it. I havn't driven mine since the beginning of November.
The itch to spend time in the garage and on the road is starting to overcome me.
A plus side to the winter is that every spring my car feels like it is brand new.

I drive mine most of the year, but I've even put the car cover on it in the garage because the weather sucks so bad... but spring is coming... right? (please tell me spring is coming...)!!! What would we do without the forum for a Vette fix??? Zuti
Don't know what's worse - withdrawal or mod fever.
I'm standing there today looking at my Toro snow blower and thinking:
"What to do:
*lower it
*new wheels
*mod exhaust
*new shift linkage
*intake mod (surely I can get more power out of that 1-banger!)
*lock-out bypass (in case the kids actually want to use it )
*add BSM's (for those close sidewalk / schrub areas)
Does anybody have a link for the latest MidAmerica Toro catalog?
Charlene, now isn't that funny, your corvette is a girl and mine is a boy. Now, how the heck did that happen !!!
Anyways, I certainly know your frustation. I reside south of Cleveland,Ohio in whats known as the "snow belt" primarily from "lake effect snow". We received 12" of snow overnite through this morning.
My Vert has been put to "sleep" on it's battery tender since mid-December. It will be at least April before the snow is gone and rain has washed away all traces of road salt. How do we convey to our southern brothers and sisters our frustation ?
I haven't driven my vette since last Sunday and it looks like I won't get to drive her for another two weeks since we're expecting 12-18 inches here in NYC. Its really coming down hard right now. My wife and I are stuck at home and there's nothing good on tv. I feel like a crack addict that hasn't had a fix in weeks!! I can't wait till spring. Glad I've got the forum to at least talk about our beloved vettes while we watch the snow fall.
January and February are the longest, dullest months of the year for me. We are in the process of having 2 feet of snow dumped on us. Spring seems so far away. It's not easy.
