Default BSM Removal, newer paint job

Man, nothin' would make me happier then to remove those things.... My problem is when I bought it, the car had a newer nassau blue paint job. This color is hard to match sometimes. So I'm a lil bit nervous to take them off. Who knows what I'll see. Anyways, there's ways to put them back on I'm sure but if you guys could help me out on how to remove, and if necessary, put them back on.... that would be awesome.

I would not touch them, they probally were not removed when the car was painted.

Not only will the color be different (even if slightly), but there will be paint build-up along the edges of the BSM, leaving ridges of paint.

My normal modus operandi is to say "Rip 'um off" but this time I think it would be prudent to leave them alone. I agree with what the other members said re: paint build up and different shade of blue.
