Default Chrome Screws

You can get the chrome screw set for the fender and wheel liner. Does anyone make a set for the trunk?
Thanks...

Echlers sells both sets. I found them on their online catalog. I don't remeber the price for the trunk but it was $79.95 for the underhood set.

I just ordered a set of these last week but they havent quite shown up yet. I figure that for $10 I can just thrown them in the tool box if I dont like them well enough to put them on the Vette.

I don't think you will.

Just reading the desciption, where it clearly states they are nothing more than pan-head phillips head screws. You could probably pick up a box of 100 (in SS) at your local hardware store for $3-4. The phillips head will look cheesy.

I'm looking at one of the real (chromed)fender screws right now...and it looks to be a #8 x 3/4" long torx-head sheetmetal screw with an integrated small dia washer. Here's some close-up "much larger than actual size" pics:

I got mine from Ecklers, a little pricey but they look great since they are the same GM torx head that are chromed.

I bought the ones on ebay and they are screws you can buy at the hardware store. When i bought i guess i was thinking of polished stainless steel, man was i surprised. I couldnt fault the seller because he didnt state they were polished. I used the ones i bought on ebay to replace the ones on the car while i had the original ones chromed, so i did get some use out of them.

I polished the original screws and washers using Wenol on a small buffing disk and a dremel. The black coating (anodized?) comes off easily and now they look like chrome.

Jim Dawes turned me onto Fastenal for the Stainless. I had the Chrome from Eckler's for $79.99, but sent them back and ordered by the hundreds from Fastenal for like $7.00 per hundred.

Thanks Jim!!!
