When is was doing the Tonight Show, he would get a new Corvette everyear. He may keep on doing that... Johnny never took a limo from his home in Malibu, to his job at NBC in Burbank CA. He drove his Vette!

Johnny was the best.....I miss his show so much. I can barely watch Letterman and Leno after growing up with the 3 masters...Jack Parr, Steve Allen, and the best of the best, Johnny Carson. I had heard before from a friend in LA that Johnny did indeed drive himself to work in a current Vette. His fans would sometimes wait near the studio entrance and exchange waves with him as he drove in. Johnny was very enthusiastic about using his position with the Tonight Show to help launch the carreers of many, many mostly unknown funny guys.

It was an 1986. Barrett-Jackson just had it on one of their recent auctions. Someone bought it for less than $11K. During it's presentation they described the car a clean daily driver, but noted that even though it was Johnny's car that in itself wasn't enough to increase it's value.
