I was wondering, if you see something in the C5 parts section for sale that is much more than they are new, is it ok to say something in the thread...
e.g. The other day some used jacking pucks were sold for $55 but you can get them new for $39.99 from Jeff at elite engineering...
Is it ok to say something and possible **** off the seller and help the buyer out?

Saying something on a post violates all the rules I have been reading these days. Like Stock Man said...I would Pm both parties and keep it discreet.
Like EBAY...selling something here is still BUYER BEWARE. Either the Seller doesnt know the market price or the Buyer doesnt.

to a degree. But what are we ... the Pricing Police? I support Buyer Beware ... besides, it's their responsibility to know what they are buying. In this day and age of The Web ... all you have to do is spend 5 minutes and do some research. If you're too lazy or unwilling, so be it.
I don't this members here set to rip anyone off as far as price goes. There is nothing wrong with trying to recover the price of a item you paid for.
Here's what the Forum Rules and Gudelines say on the subject:
"For Sale Rules/Guidelines:
It is inappropriate to throw cold water on the For Sale theads posted by other members or a vendor by attacking the price or quality of the Corvette, parts or service being offered for sale or suggesting alternate sources for the item.
If you don’t like the price or the item being offered, move on.
It boils down to this: If your contribution to a For Sale thread does not advance the sale of the item being offered, you’re probably in the way and shouldn’t be in the thread. If you don’t like the deal, you should take it to e-mail or IMs.
If you believe other Forum members are in jeopardy because of the seller's offer, notify a moderator."
Also, these type questions are best asked in the Help Forum.

but these are guidelines, not always set in stone.
Thanks Neablas for copying and quoting the rule. Much better than the links which aren't working tonight. I had just gone back and done the same before I saw yours. GrayC5
