I posted a similar topic in C5 General. I can't get any replies over there either. I thought I may be able to get some input here

These spacers look like they are well made and wouldn't be a problem.
My friend is driving from Chicago to California next month. I have made the drive myself years ago. There are VERY LONG stretches of road with nothing as far as the eye can see.
I'm just trying to give him some info on these things.
