Has anyone else have to wait 2 weeks for their shifter after sending in your own parts?
Thought it was suppose to be a quick turn around.

Not getting any responses from here or through email. Showing they are still coming on the forum and plenty of insta-gramming... feel like I'm being ignored after I sent my parts and money.

Maybe a simple update on when my parts will ship so I know when my car can be driven again would be appreciative.

My lower box was relcieved by Tom on Thursday Jan 24th, and he said it will only be a couple of days and I will get a tracking #, we will see if I get the same service as you! I agree a little communication goes a long way.

I am sorry to see this post as I have plans to get a shifter box upgraded/rebuilt too.
I guess success can be a fickle mistress.
Hope this gets smoothed out soon for all. And thanks for posting about this (considering the "rules" concerning vendor comments, etc. it is very helpful to get this info).

Apparently my car has a hinson short shifter. 2003 z06.

I am getting ready to replace clutch and supporting components and came across this...anyone with this combo? Or should I just order the MGW with lower and sell hinson one?

Just got mine this past Saturday and installed Sunday. E-mailed Tom with questions during the installed. He replied promptly. Opted for the 5% with a 1-1/2" shorter stick. Tried his shift **** for a day, then went back to my favorite round shift ball. It's all working great.
Here's what I started with:

After install with Tom's ****:

New shifter with my old ****:

That is a lot shorter. How is shift effort?

One reason I wanted the 5% and not the 20%. I really like the height of the shift **** now. I can tell I have less leverage, but an issue and the shifting is very positive now.

Default Couplers

Since were talking about linkages I thought I'd share these pics. Replacing \ Upgrading the linkage is a great thing to do when your dropping the gearbox \ tube, so are the couplers. This is what happens to the rubber couplers inside your torque tube. It's sometimes overlooked but something you definitely want to replace while your doing a clutch, any gearbox service that you have it out and in an automatic as well. These bushings are one of the most common causes of vibration in the shifter, you can only imagine how much rubber debris is tumbling around inside your tube as it breaks down over time.

I'm getting a new logo made pretty soon, so fancy. If it's cool would people like it engraved on the box or the shifter? I guess we would have to figure out if it's cool or not...

Next batch of shifter box end caps and a new fixture to hold five at a time for the back side operations.
