I purchased an ACTRON 9180 scanner for $150. Its able to scan the CAN buss on the C6 and do the C5 OBDII scanning. Its a more advanced scanner and it able to do a data log while you drive the car and it can also show O2 sensor voltage operation. Pretty good for the price.
Look on E Bay. Those scanners have been supersceded by newer models (nothing wrong with them) and the ones that replace them are a LOT more expensive. Im really happy with mine.
I'm looking for a scanner also; but I want the ability to hook a PC to it. The Actron one states that it comes with a USB cable and can be hooked to a PC, but it does not go into detail on what can be accessed with the PC. The features of the OBDCOM system are impressive (if it works), but it does not have a stand alone reader so you would have to put the computer in the passenger seat.
Anyone else on the forum have some more input or exprience with scanners?
