Default Bad tune maybe?

Had my 02 Z tuned at LG motorsports with the following mods:

LT's, X pipe w/HFC's, B&B Bullets, small cam (unknown spec), breathless CAI, LS7 clutch.

Put down 395 WHP/380 WTQ. I am happy with the power and am still getting used to driving with it, but have a problem......

After a big burn out (staging) and WOT runs, the RPM drops drastically (around 300-500 rpm) and it will take a couple of minutes to "catch it's breath" and return to normal. This drop in RPM happens at idle with the clutch pressed in, or if the car is in neutral.

While driving normally, the idle is fine and never drops below 900 RPM.

Someone said that it could be cause from the cam, but I think thats

I was thinking of taking my Z to 21st Century Muscle Cars because a friend of mine had a bad tune and they fixed it. His car is running phenomenal now.

Why do you think my idle is jacked up after WOT runs? If it is a bad tune, do you think there I can pull more power out of the motor? All advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

call LG and ask him.

I dont think that is a " bad tune " with those numbers.

Id be more concerned if it was doing that idle drop from light to light spirted driving.

Still its an easy fix, but if you adjust it to much, the idle will hang.

I wouldnt take it to another shop to have patch work done to it

Mine does the same thing and Im not sure why, but I know it can be adjusted. Maybe something with the idle airflow?

Holler at Louis from LG and he should be able to address it

Yes it will, a lot of tuners do not rescale after changing the size of the TB.

They start adjusting tables like the Follower & Cracker to correct problems your are having. Most of the time if the TB is rescaled correctly the vehicle drives normal.
