Default Heads and Cam Tuning

I own a 01 coupe, 6 speed. I would like to have the heads and cam swapped out by a shop. While living in Alaska is beautiful I am concerned about having this motor set up properly "tuned" after the installation is complete. Is it a basic swap and run? Does a shop need software and a computer to dial everything in afterwards?

You will more than likely need to fix your idle with LS1-Edit or at least drill a small hole in your throttle plate.

It depends on how wild you go. With a mild cam, it might run fine with stock programming or just need a small hole drilled in the TB. That's all mine NEEDED. It did, however run better with the Hypertech tuning. Since then we have gotten it to run even better with custom programming.
