Default Can BIG injectors be tuned DOWN???

I have a brand new set of Deka 72’s that were supposed to going on a boosted setup. The setup has changed and will now be NA with H/C/I, full exhaust, etc. The heads have been worked and the compression is prob 12/12.5:1 (according to previous owner but we all know how that goes).

I’m sure those injectors are overkill on NA, but if they can be tuned down, I’ll keep them and run them.

Will be tuned with HP Tuners using the MPVI2.

Thoughts?

Thanks!!

yeah, it will work, but probably not quite ideal. some of these injectors have less than stellar performance at low pulsewidth, but it will certainly work.

I would trade up for something better suited for the application.

I'm running gen4 flex fuel injectors on my H/C setup, and also flex fuel tune. They are sized pretty well for E85, and just a bit overkill for pump gas, but not too bad.

pump gas only/stock fuel pump, get something like the GTP 36lb injectors or something around 42lb/hr and you'll be good

its funny cause I was literally just reading more into it and seems you are spot on with the 42’s suggestion…I guess I will try to sell mine or trade for 42’s.

thank you for the information and help!
