Default Header Question

After I install headers will the WOT AFR BE leaner or some what richer
will the ltft's also change ?
Will there be any idle issues
This is a stock ls1 engine
I have EFI AND LS1 EDIT but want to start tuning would like to have starting point . Would like to hear from some of the more experienced ls1 tuners who have installed headers and have tuned for more performance.
Can't seem to get an answer ?
Thanks
John

What I have been told is that the car will go rich. Personally, I still don't understand why this happens and why it will not come back to factory A/F ratios after some miles.

FWIW, I have also seen a stock LS1 pull 11.5 to 1 A/F ratios and I have seen teh same thing on a highly modified LS1. Maybe they are rich in open loop anyways.

The WOT A/F is a fixed figure in our PCM's where as the the "cruising" A/F will adjust itself to a certain extent. Running rich is certainly a safe way to go although it will rob you of hp........the alternative of running lean however can and will be devastating to the motor.

Chalky.....did you install the headers? How did it go?

Buckmaster:

if the A/F ratio is a fixed number @ WOT, that would make a lot of sense. Is 11.5 to 1 or so a valid default for WOT? This is what I have seen but this seems rich.

I had a local shop do the install. I'm glad I didn't try it but they are on. I love the sound with the Stinger.
