I got my new computer today for my 98. It's been programmed with Ls1Edit for a number of things including 3.42 gears, headers, free flow cats, ported MAF and ported TB and a few other goodies and performance tuning. Unfortunately, they forgot to put any instructions with it and of course closed until Saturday or Monday now.
So I went ahead and installed it anyway. That was easy enough. When reconnecting the battery and turning the key on I got a "Pull Key, wait 10 sec" message which I did. Then after putting the key back in and the DIC cleared I attempted to start it. It cranks and starts for a second then stalls.
I had this happen with my stock computer and I let it sit with the key on for 11 minutes followed by the key off for 30 seconds and repeated 3 times. This did the trick. Before doing the same thing I wanted to see if there was something else I should be doing.
I can wait until Saturday or Monday, but I'm anxious and also don't want to screw anything up.
It did end up just requiring the initiation sequence of 11minutes with the key in the on position followed by 30 seconds off. Repeated three times total. That did it.
