this happened once while using one of my predators on an ls1. we did the same thing you did. diablo has the ability to continue where it left, or reload the stock tune. there maybe something similar with ls1 edit.

If pulling the fuse and/or disconnecting the battery did not do it, then as ChrisC5 said, get the car to a dealer to reflash.
Ken at Carputing will also try and recover it. If he's able to save it he charges $50. No charge if he can't.

Problem solved guys-I used my Predator to reflash the computer. All I did was try to load the Predator tune and it said it could not communicate with the computer-then it asked me if i wanted to restore communication. So I said yes and voila-everythings back to normal!
Re: HELP!!!!Lost communication while programming with edit! (eb02z06)
I've had this to happen to me a couple of times with Edit. Luckily I had a spare PCM license left on the cable because here's what happened: lost comm. Nothing got it to communicating again, so I turned the key off and re-initilized Edit. It saw the PCM as having a VIN of 1, which Edit used as my last license!!!! Grrrrr, Edit should allow for this condition. Now I have to talk with the guys are Carputing and get them to fix my cable to release the 4th VIN for it's intended use.
