I think that may be the case. Might I ask what you did to lose the connection? Do ou have a usb to serial adapter, or a true serial port?

this happened once while using one of my predators on an ls1. we did the same thing you did. diablo has the ability to continue where it left, or reload the stock tune. there maybe something similar with ls1 edit.

In my experience when you see no comm on the Dic you are beat. you need to get the car to a dealer where it can be flashed back to stock.

If pulling the fuse and/or disconnecting the battery did not do it, then as ChrisC5 said, get the car to a dealer to reflash.
Ken at Carputing will also try and recover it. If he's able to save it he charges $50. No charge if he can't.

Were you able to clear codes?

I'll admit I don't use LS1Edit yet, but couldn't you simply download a stock program to your misfunctioning PCM if the dealer can reflash to stock?

I was under the impression that if you lose communications during a LS1Edit flash you will need an entirely new PCM.

Problem solved guys-I used my Predator to reflash the computer. All I did was try to load the Predator tune and it said it could not communicate with the computer-then it asked me if i wanted to restore communication. So I said yes and voila-everythings back to normal!

Interesting, that makes two features that the Predator has and LS1Edit does not.

1) Can reflash locked PCM.
2) Can turn off 1-4 skip shift (as well as the dash light)

 Does edit also remove the dash light reminding you of the shift?

I've had this to happen to me a couple of times with Edit. Luckily I had a spare PCM license left on the cable because here's what happened: lost comm. Nothing got it to communicating again, so I turned the key off and re-initilized Edit. It saw the PCM as having a VIN of 1, which Edit used as my last license!!!! Grrrrr, Edit should allow for this condition. Now I have to talk with the guys are Carputing and get them to fix my cable to release the 4th VIN for it's intended use.
