Idle problem
I have a 2000 with a Magnuson NI/C after it has run for awhile it will not return to the base idle when it comes down like at a stop light/sign, it will remain around 1200/1300 and you have to use the brake to get it back to normal 900RPM. You can take your foot off the gas and it will cruise along at 1400/1500 like the throttle is hanging which we all know can't happen. I was wondering if anyone else has had or is having this problem and no there is no vacum leak.

I have the same set up on my 01 a4.Basically the same problem.I took it to ECS and had them drop the idle to 750 instead of 850-900 because the car was always wanting to take off and was a real pain to drive in any stop and go traffic.Take it back to your tuner or reprogram the idle.

Sounds like your RAF's (running air flow) are too high. Is this condition any different with the A/C=on or =off? The throttle cracker should return the rpm to the asked for idle when the speedo hits 0 mph. Sounds like that is happening when you hold the brake to achieve 0 mph. However if the RAF table is set too high (for your set up) then this can cause an "auto pilot" effect. This "auto pilot" condition may worsen with the A/C=on.
Some thoughts that may help with your discussion with your tuner.
