First off, unless you run drag radials, don't dump the clutch - these have a lot of power - some finesse is required. Wheel hop is not a function of power so much as it is suspension and traction. Different tires, and suspension components have a huge effect - in fact ambient road temp has and effect on this.

What do you wish to do? If you want to lay down massive amounts of rubber in a smokey burn out you may just want to try adjusting your air pressure up. But if you want drag launches you may have to do a little suspensio work or use different tires.

Recommendations from DTE include poly bushings, new/good shocks and an alignment to help stave off wheel hop.

I've learned to modify my launch method and only get it every once in a while. Learn to let the clutch out and preload the drive train before breaking the tires loose . If you dump the clutch on the unloaded drive train, it will wheel hop most of the time. I was able to roast the tires with my 98 through first and second using this method. The 02 Z06 will do first second and get some scratch in third with out wheel hop!

I still have my OEM shocks but I hear good things about Bilsteins (sp?)

I don't think end links would come into play on a straight line launch. Mostly the issue is deflection of the a-arms so replacing the a-arm bushings with poly ones is warranted. From my research the best set appears to be from VBP as it comes with new hardware and it's a pain to ge tthe OEM bushings off the hardware. They have the shocks as well. http://www.vbandp.com/detail.aspx?ID=770

If I dump the clutch on mine at as low as 1500rpm I get a huge burnout. Don't do that. You have to slip it for a good launch.

But, your car is 6+ years old. The shocks may be worn out. That won't help.

I use to get some bad wheel hop I lowered my car on the factory bolts as far as I could and it stopped I had hop with the factory run craps and my DR I launch at 3500 sometimes 4000 with ET Streets now no hop But again it all stopped when I lowered the car with the run craps or the DR

Not sure if this is the perfect fix but it worked for me also going to urathane bushings will help, Good Luck

I agree, lower the rear will help. This will allow the rear to squat and apply more down force on the tires.
