I am installing a remote radar detector and need to know where to put the ground wire in the car. I am getting power from the fuse panel under the passenger footwell. Can I just take the ground wire to one of the metal screws right there next to the panel?????
Thanks

In the fuse panel there are some wires tucked up around the upper left corner. Switched, constant and ground. Just ground it to the black wire. If you look in your owners manual you will see that GM provided you these just for this reason.
what i did was put one end of the wire in a fuse, plugged the radar detector in, turned the ignition on and started touching the other end of wire to some likely ground locations...when the radar detector beeped, that was my ground.
