When I bought my 2000 C5 new, The performance mods were still being developed and choices limited. Obviously the LS1 has been figured out and a lot more is available. I'm ready for more performance and am looking for suggestions. The car MUST REMAIN TRULY STREEABLE. My first thoughts are to supercharge or turbocharge it. The main mods were done in early 2000. Here is where I am....DRM heads and cam (DRM used a Lunati I believe). The cam seems mild with just a hint of lope. LS6 intake manifold, TPIS long tube headers, ported TB and MAF, true Ram Air, LS1 edit dyno tuned. This combo dyno'ed at 387 RWHP and 369 RWT with 3.90 gears and a new LS6 clutch. At the track it ran 12.31 with a miserable 2.43 short time and 114.85 MPH. Obviously with traction this is an 11 second combo but I'm used to 10 second cars. But I will settle for low to mid 11's. Anyway, the new AFR heads and a stronger cam seems like it may work but I don't want to spend thousands for 20 or 30 horse's which is what I'm thinking new heads and cam would give me. Does anyone agree or am I further behind the times than I thought. Supercharging seems like a sure thing. The heads were milled to produce 10. 8 CR so that worries me a little with supercharging. Anybody?

What are your power goals? How much do you want? The raised comnpression would worry me too - you could always sell your heads and pick up antoher non milled set then supercharge if that is what you wnat to do......
