I have a 2002 6sp. I just purchased a spare fuel pump and I would like to test it.I was told the pump might run on 8-10 volts. I don't want to try it on 12-14 volts and destroy it.Anyone have any answers? Thanks for you're time.....

The pump usually runs on 12vdc. A Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump is designed to increase the voltage to 16vdc or so. For my car, which because of the FFS fuel system (late '03) couldn't get the FP replaced easily, the BAP was the answer to prevent the S/C from running too lean.
