2004 A4, it's cold here and car has been sitting, occasional 30 mile rides every two weeks or so for past two months, no check engine lights; it's a history code so apparently it took care of itself but I'm wondering what it was. Came w/ c1221 & c1222 wheel sensor history codes as well. Any ideas?

Both you RF and LF wheel speed sensors are intermittent. Do you have stainless brake lines installed by any chance? Something is causing an interruption in the data flow from the sensors to the CPU. Ususally it is just one side if it is a physical connection problem.

Nope; tooled around a bit this weekend, no codes. Really just wondering what the C1248 was; doesn't seem to show up on many 2003+ code lists. Oh well, chalk it up to mechanical/electrical gremlins, I guess.

You didn't mention C1248 in your original post. It is low brake fluid.
