Climate Control Intermittant
My climate control display /backlight (2001 M6) has gotten where It won't illuminate at night with the lights on to set the controls. Actually it's intermittant. Sometimes it bright, other times it is barely visable or out all together. Any ideas.

Sadly the floresent display used on our Vetts and many other vehicles out there is not suited to the demands of automotive use and it fails. My 00 HVAC display is dark also. Sometimes fiddling with the dimmer works most often not. I also have a Quest Mini Van and the radio display (same floresent display type) is also dark. Basically poor selection by the designer and except for replacing it periodically there apparantely is nothing we can do. Not happy either.
