broken seat frame
The passenger seat frame in my 04 seems to be broken on the right side of the seat. Car just turned 12000 miles and probably 10000 of that has been without a passenger.
Anyone with this same malady?

The driver's side bolster broke on mine. If you take the seat apart, they're made rather cheaply. I purchased a 2004 seat back (it's one piece fiberglass) and had it installed. I think it's a fairly common problem on some of the older Vettes.

when you say the passengers seat is broken, what exactly are you saying.. the lower frame at the frame rails, or the Back ?
with an 04 whatever it is, its covered under warranty.. Ive seen prototype C5 seat break under load test at one of the four linkage points in the frame rails, these leverage points are what controls the seat up and down. If this is the case then you need a new frame rail... its about a 700 dollar fix at the dealer, which is covered under warranty..
Further evidence of this breakage is you can manually lift the seat up and down from the broken corner..
If you further define what is broken maybe I can help...
